The RedPort Halo System

The Halo® long-range Wi-Fi extender and local hub takes a weak Wi-Fi signal - at a marina, truck-stop, camp, etc - and boosts it, repeating it back directly to you.
The Halo system then takes the boosted Wi-Fi signal and routes it through the RedPort Optimizer local Wi-Fi hotspot. With the RedPort Optimizer you can share your Wi-Fi connection with all the Wi-Fi-capable devices near you - on your boat, truck, or building. Multiple users can connect to the Optimizer and share the Internet connection seamlessly and fast.

Everything You Need to Boost Your Outdoor Wi-Fi

The RedPort Halo system includes:

  • Long-Range Wi-Fi Extender
  • RedPort Optimizer Wi-Fi Hotspot
  • 10m Ethernet Cable
  • Optional Compression/Acceleration Apps

With the RedPort Halo long-range Wi-Fi extension system, you can get Wi-Fi from farther away and accelerate your connection by a factor of 3 to 5 times, and then share that Wi-Fi connection throughout your boat, truck, camp, etc.

Looking for a dual-band option?

Consider the Halo Pro - all the convenience of Halo with both 5GHz and 2.4GHz bands and a new antenna design.

Features and Specs

The RedPort Halo system combines the most powerful long-range Wi-Fi extender on the market with the popular RedPort Optimizer Wi-Fi Hotspot. Using these two together gives you a total package of Wi-Fi connectivity.

  • Long-Range Wi-Fi Extender

It's a common problem: you're at a marina, truckstop, or camp and while there is free (or cheap) Wi-Fi available, it doesn't extend past the front door of the office. Setting up the RedPort Long-Range Wi-Fi Extender on your boat (or truck or RV, etc) means that you can capture that same Wi-Fi signal - even up to miles away.

  • Optimizer Local Hub

Once you've captured that long-range Wi-Fi, what do you do with it? Optimizer takes that Wi-Fi internet connection and rebroadcasts it around your location. That means you can connect to, say, a Marina Wi-Fi from the comfort of your own boat.

  • NMEA Compatible

RedPort Optimizer works as a NMEA repeater to broadcast your NMEA data (GPS location, AIS, weather data) to your navigational software on your smartphones, tablets, or computers.

  • GSM and Satellite Phone Compatible

RedPort Optimizer seamlessly works with all current satellite phones and terminals and select GSM-based USB modems.

  • Optimized Apps

The RedPort Halo system works with RedPort XGate and other leading data acceleration apps, including Network Innovations Speedmail; Satphone Store Satphone.me; SatLink Mail and more. Access email 20 times faster and browse the web 3-5 times faster on average than uncompressed usage. Works over any standard Internet connection.
